We expect you to provide excellent baked items and service to our customers in an efficient and professional manner. The Baker will execute, and be aware of weekly cookie / dessert processes (including balling, dressing, and final preparation for customers), perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use frosting, glazes, fillings, and other toppings, process orders from customers, do dishes, and become proficient in the use of internal technologies (iPads, POS, sticker labels, TV’s,). The Baker will also greet customers, answer questions, answer the phone, clean workstations and tools, and perform other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied. and the bakery is well-stocked and operating smoothly. To be a successful Baker, an individual should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. Bakers should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques.
7.1 Baker Responsibilities

Bakers are expected to ALWAYS greet customers with a loud, “Welcome to Crumbl” after customers enter. Bakers must be prepared to answer questions, make recommendations, accept orders and payment, and generally provide an exceptional experience.

Watch the weekly dressing videos for each cookie or dessert;

Decorate and present finished product to customer;

Test ingredients and finished good to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls;

Bakers will be trained in assisting customers in ordering, taking down relevant information and ensuring accuracy of all orders;

Crumbl is a fast-paced work environment that requires tasks to be completed in a timely manner. We expect our Bakers to be efficient, fast, and focused on quality in every task, EVEN WHEN SALES ARE SLOW;

Cleanliness is paramount at Crumbl. Employees are expected to always clean their work station, sanitize equipment and tools, and generally keep the store neat. Bakers restock their work stations (frostings, toppings, boxes, etc.) during and after their shift to ensure the next shift is set up for success;

Bakers who are minors (under 18 years of age) MAY NOT operate, clean, or repair the large Hobart Mixers at the store. This is a federal labor law standard relating to safety for minors in the workplace. This is a zero tolerance policy!

Bakers who are OVER 18 will be trained as mixers. All mixers will become proficient at reading and understanding recipes, measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make cookies. MIXERS MAY NOT DEVIATE FROM THE CRUMBL RECIPES AT ANY TIME!!!
7.2 Baker Requirements

Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.

Attention to detail, especially when dressing cookies.

Basic math and computer skills.

Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.

Flexibility to work around busy seasons (Holiday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day), including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.

Ability to work in a hot, busy environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands, and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
