Join Our Team & Learn a High-Demand Trade
Randy’s Towing has been a staple on the Front Range for over 50 years. We are looking for a Class A CDL Operator with a strong work ethic and the mental fortitude to lean into a challenging, highly rewarding career.
Prior towing experience is not required—we will train the right person. If you have a clean Class A license, a tight-knit teamwork mindset, and the willingness to learn heavy-duty recovery from some of the best in the business, we want to hear from you.
Qualifications & Requirements
Because of our insurance and the demands of heavy recovery, candidates must meet the following:
- Age: Must be at least 25 years old (for commercial driving insurance purposes).
- License: Valid Class A CDL with No Restrictions and a clean, insurable driving history (Required).
- Location: Must live in the Colorado Springs or Fountain area to effectively handle on-call response times.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, basic mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TESTING INCLUDING MARIJUANA.
Schedule Requirements
Towing is a 24/7 industry that requires dedication. We are hiring for 5 days per week/24 hrs a day. From 8am-5pm, we report to the yard. After these hours, we dispatch from home in an on call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diverse Fleet Operations: Safely operate a variety of well-maintained trucks, including light/medium rollbacks, heavy wreckers, and tractor-trailers.
- Vehicle Recovery: Handle everything from motorcycles and passenger cars to our main focus: heavy equipment, buses, and tractor/trailers.
- Incident Management: Learn and execute complex accident recoveries, winching, uprighting, and load shifts.
- Professional Communication: Coordinate smoothly with dispatchers, customers, law enforcement, and emergency personnel at scene locations.
- Equipment Care: Maintain assigned trucks and recovery gear in clean, safe, and top operating condition.
What We Offer (Compensation & Benefits)
- High-Earning Potential: Competitive commission-based pay starting at 25% per call, with a guaranteed minimum base safety net of $1,500 every other week.
- Growth: Commission percentage increases as you gain experience and certifications.
- Perks: Drivers keep 100% of occasional customer tips.
- Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance available after 60 days.
- Stability: Paid Time Off (PTO) and steady, year-round industry income.
- Gear & Fleet: High-quality uniforms provided; access to top-tier, exceptionally well-maintained equipment.
