The CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting agricultural products, feed, grain, materials, equipment, and other goods to customer locations, United Ag facilities, and operational sites. This role supports daily transportation needs across multiple divisions while ensuring safe driving practices, regulatory compliance, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service.
This position plays a critical role in supporting United Ag’s agricultural operations by ensuring products and materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and accurately while maintaining strong customer relationships and operational reliability.
Safely transport feed, grain, agricultural products, equipment, and other materials to customer locations and United Ag facilities.
Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
Verify delivery orders for accuracy before transport.
Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards.
Assist with route planning and scheduling adjustments as operational needs change.
Support product transfers between United Ag locations as needed.
Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.
Communicate delivery updates, delays, or issues with customers and internal teams.
Represent United Ag professionally in customer and community interactions.
Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Complete required vehicle inspections before and after trips.
Maintain accurate driving logs and required transportation documentation.
Report accidents, maintenance concerns, and safety issues immediately.
Ensure proper cargo securement and safe transportation practices.
Perform routine inspections of assigned trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles.
Coordinate repairs and report maintenance issues promptly.
Assist warehouse, grain, feed, and retail teams when transportation demands are lower.
Support seasonal harvest transportation needs.
Assist with loading operations during peak agricultural seasons.
Perform additional duties assigned by management
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous commercial driving experience preferred
Agricultural transportation experience preferred
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), required
Clean driving record, required.
DOT medical certification, required
Additional endorsements may be required depending on equipment operated

The position requires extreme temperatures, ability to climb ladders, inspect equipment, enter operation areas, lifting up to 50 lbs, extending hours during harvest, dust and noise exposure, outdoor/ag facility conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
