Beginning September 2026, we have an opening for a lead teacherin our early childhood, Shorashim.
Striar Hebrew Academy is a Jewish Nursery- 5th grade school in Sharon, Ma.
Hours (with some flexibility): Monday: 730-5, T-Th: 9-3:30, Fri 9-3
Candidates for this position should:
- Love children and be passionate about teaching young children
- Ability to multitask and move throughout the building managing different jobs
- Create a warm, nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively
- Possess patience and empathy toward children and their families
- Foster positive relationships, interactions and communication between staff and parents, parents and children, and children and their peers
- Must be physically able to perform the role of a teacher of young, active children
- Have excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Be familiar with early childhood education and have early childhood education experience.
- Be comfortable with lesson planning, and a play based curriculum
- Knowledge of Jewish practices and rituals is preferred
- Have the ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers and our administration
Lead Teachers should have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience working in a developmentally appropriate, emergent early childhood environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
