Overview
Providential Roofing and Construction is a Roofing Company in Plainville, CT. We are looking for an individual who can help maket our services in the area by canvassing/door knocking. No experience necessary, but preferred. We will provide training for the job. Applicant must be a good communicator, reliable, and good with time management. Base pay is $20.00 per hour plus bonuses for valid appointments set. Person will not need to climb roofs. Must have reliable transportation. There will be opportunities for advancement within our company for anyone who performs well.
Duties
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to promote programs, services, or causes.
- Engage in face-to-face conversations with community members to inform, educate, and motivate support.
- Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, track outreach efforts, and manage contact information efficiently.
- Employ persuasive communication techniques to negotiate and encourage participation or donations.
- Represent the organization professionally while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Participate in outdoor work environments, walking through neighborhoods to maximize outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet outreach goals and improve strategies for community engagement.
Experience
- Prior field sales or canvassing experience is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Strong customer service skills with a proven track record of face-to-face communication and conversational engagement.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for reaching broader audiences and enhancing communication effectiveness.
- Outdoor work experience, including walking extensively in various weather conditions, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with negotiation abilities to foster trust and motivate action.
