Job Summary:
The Lead Cashier is responsible for money count duties as well as maintaining control and functions of the site while in charge and in accordance with the WHR company procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Punctuality: Critical to report for duty 5 minutes before the commencement of morning shifts and 15 minutes before the commencement of night shift changes.
- Maintain an acceptable level of attendance as absenteeism affects colleagues and the site’s operations.
- Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene at all times in accordance with the procedures and requirements of the company.
- Cooperate with staff, colleagues, and superiors at all times.
- Communicate constantly with Manager with regard to matters arising during the shift.
- Responsible for securing terminal keys, counting cash drawers after jackpots and at starting or closing of shifts to balance with reports.
- Count and verify cashier banks.
- Count and secure cashier bank bags.
- Count and verify ending safe totals and input the daily data into computer from reports.
- Collect and count the terminal cash drop box and voucher cassettes in a secure manner and in accordance with all relevant procedures.
- Ensure that money room is clean before leaving.
- Carefully handle all equipment used during the collection and counting process.
- Help train new lead cashiers in all procedures as required or directed by the Site Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
- Assist in floor duties as assigned.
- Have a complete understanding of the WHR employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning company procedures, all company collections (money) from the terminals, safes, company operations and customer information.
- Handle cash in a secure manner and in accordance with all relevant procedures.
- Complete all procedures in a secure manner and according to company policies.
- Complete all customer transactions accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the transfer of jackpot money to customers in a confidential and secure process.
- Ensure the work area (floor & counter) is clean before leaving.
- Handle all equipment with care on a daily basis.
- Clean IR machines and floors (sweep, mop, vacuum).
- Undertake limited technical duties under supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of mechanical operations.
- At least 1 year customer service experience.
- Extensive money handling experience and organizational skills.
- Gaming industry experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and/or walking.
- Regular bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
