JOB TITLE: Credentialing Coordinator
CONTRACT DURATION: 13-weeks (possible extension or temp-to-perm)
SHIFT: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p
LOCATION: Onsite, St. Helena, CA
Job Overview:
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing the full credentialing lifecycle for physicians and allied health professionals, ensuring all credentialing and privileging activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with medical staff bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements. This role supports provider onboarding, maintains credentialing records, and collaborates with internal departments to facilitate a seamless credentialing process.
Required Qualifications:
- CPCS or CPMSM Certification REQUIRED.
- 2+ years of medical staff credentialing experience.
- Experience with physician and allied health credentialing, privileging, and reappointment processes.
- Knowledge of primary source verification, credential file management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of medical staff bylaws, accreditation standards, and credentialing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all phases of the provider credentialing lifecycle, including initial appointments, reappointments, privileging, and focused professional practice evaluations (FPPE)/proctoring.
- Perform primary source verification and ensure credentialing files are accurate, complete, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Support physician and allied health provider onboarding, including coordinating computer access, orientation, required training, and identification badging.
- Maintain credentialing records and medical staff databases while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Interpret and apply medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies throughout the credentialing process.
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely credentialing and onboarding.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of provider and medical staff information.
- Perform additional credentialing and administrative duties as assigned.

Pay: $36.00 - $39.00 per hour
