Summary
As an IHS Worker at 4U Home Health Care South, LLC, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to our clients. This position is essential in helping individuals maintain their independence while ensuring their comfort and well-being at home.
*Family is seeking caregiver(s) from 2pm-7pm Monday-Friday. Caregiver must be comfortable with family smoking in home.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with daily living activities including meal preparation, light housekeeping and personal cares.
- Assist client with showers, dressing, and daily reminders for hygiene/grooming.
- Assist client with making appointments.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or caregiver.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Assist client with medications as prescribed by giving verbal reminders.
- Support client in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to advocate for clients' needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in home health care or a related field is preferred, not required.
- Strong understanding of meal preparation and nutrition.
- Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment techniques is a plus.
- Ability to assist with lifting or transferring clients safely when necessary.
