EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
An employee in this classification handles all customer or resident inquiries, in person or by telephone, concerning questions or complaints about regular or final water billings and automatic payments.
An employee in this classification is responsible for:

Issuing receipts for payment received at a register and processing payments and billing adjustments in the computer daily

Opening the mail
-
Generating out-of-cycle bills
-
Processing automatic payments against billing stubs
-
Tracking and maintaining records of deposits for tools, taps, and meters
-
Entering data into a computer
-
Reviewing data for accuracy before issuing billing statements
-
Preparing memos, letters, or other correspondence; and maintaining historical files
-
Resolving customer complaints with tact and thoroughness
-
Running reports using financial software, create and maintain Excel spreadsheet
-
Performing related bookkeeping duties

Other duties as assigned
