Construction Project Manager Description:
- Manage multiple high-level design and construction projects
- Coordinate Architect/ Engineers, General Contractor and respective contracts
- Assess potential properties, create scope and construction budget
- Create and follow timelines to meet required deadlines
- Review project documents (drawings specifications, contracts, RFI’s, AIA draws, schedules, etc) and evaluate the completeness or need for review/ change in all respective phases of design and construction
- Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with Clients
- Must be comfortable with conducting and running high-level, high-volume group meetings
- Design eye to assist Client assessment of improving, enhancing and modernizing housing
- Travel 50% of work schedule. Desire for travel is a plus.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience
- Ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of construction methods with at least 3 years experience in multi-family construction
- Prior experience with multi-family design and construction, including new construction and rehab, and adaptive reuse is a plus
- General understanding of entitlement process
- Understanding of construction codes, standard construction methods and means in the multifamily sector
- Construction estimating experience preferably in the multi-family sector
- General understanding of HUD rules and guidelines, REAC and Tax Credit a plus
- Ability to understand and implement state QAP requirements for multi-family design purposes
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft as well as construction specific software
- Self-disciplined with the ability to meet deadlines and manage changing schedules
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with Clients and Consultants
