Join our team as a Water Aerobics Instructor for the community of Huntwick and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals through engaging, energetic, and safe water-based exercise classes. In this role, you will lead group fitness sessions that combine cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, flexibility, and balance exercises—all set in a motivating aquatic environment. Duties
- Lead high-energy water aerobics classes tailored to various skill levels, incorporating routines such as Pilates, Yoga, CrossFit-inspired movements, and dance-based exercises
- Design and adapt program sessions that emphasize biomechanics, body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology principles to maximize safety and effectiveness
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques through clear instruction and hands-on practice to ensure correct form and prevent injuries
- Motivate participants by providing personalized coaching, encouragement, and feedback to foster a supportive environment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed by monitoring participants’ physical responses and managing emergency situations with CPR or AED operation when necessary
- Maintain equipment hygiene, set up water resistance tools or weights safely, and assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of equipment or supplies
- Communicate effectively with clients about class schedules, fitness programs, and health-related questions to enhance customer experience

Skills
- Proven experience in group fitness instruction with a focus on water-based exercise routines such as water aerobics, or similar disciplines
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to aquatic training environments
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation; first aid certification is highly preferred
- Expertise in coaching diverse groups through dynamic exercise routines while maintaining safety standards
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly with proper technique; skilled in teaching exercise routines that incorporate cycling movements or dance elements
- Excellent client communication skills with a friendly approach that motivates participants and enhances their fitness journey
- Experience working in health clubs or fitness industry settings; familiarity with gym equipment and manual handling procedures is advantageous
- Knowledge of sports coaching principles or heavy lifting techniques can be beneficial for managing equipment setup or class modifications
