Wilmington College (OH) seeks in-person adjunct instructors to teach Writing for the Fall 2026 semester. The English Program is looking to fill teaching positions in our first-year writing program, with available sections of EN 100: Writing I and EN 101: Writing II. (There are several sections that need to be filled so suitable candidates could potentially teach multiple.) The semester begins August 24th, 2026.
Course Description (EN 100): This course introduces students to the expectations of college-level reading and expository writing. Classroom instruction emphasizes the conventions of effective writing.
Course Description (EN 101) This course extends students’ understanding of the expectations of college-level expository writing. It emphasizes critical analysis, argument, and research.
M.A. in literature, rhetoric/composition, or a related field required. Experience teaching similar courses is highly desirable.
