We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking of products.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Supervise junior staff members when needed, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Utilize strong communication skills to engage with customers in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and participating in regular inventory counts.
- Apply basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience with cashiering duties is essential.
- Experience with merchandising techniques to create attractive displays that drive sales is a plus.
