We are currently searching for a dynamic Head Teller to join our Credit Union family. This position is responsible for an array of duties including processing member account requests and transactions, day-to-day branch operations duties, ability to learn and promote PFCU products and services and adhering to all BSA Compliance rules and regulations.* Responsible for accurately and efficiently processing of transactions, balancing daily, and maintaining cash limits within approved limits. This person will serve as a Coach/Leader for other Teller employees at Branch and will assist with a variety of branch operational tasks and escalations. _This position will be based at our "soon to open" new location in Port St. Lucie, FL. In this position you will:
- Handle a myriad of Head Teller duties to include: 1) processing the settlement for Money Orders and Visa Gift cards; 2) assisting the Management team with audits from outside auditing partners and/or regulators; 3) providing overrides as needed; 4) balancing, researching and loading cash for ATM; 5) coaching all Tellers and assisting with new hire training; 6) assisting with teller research to locate out of balances and ordering branch cash; 7) leading by example in all operations, procedures, observations and referrals while ensuring effective working relationship and 8) assisting Branch Management team with a variety of other operational tasks and other operational duties as assigned.
- Provide superior member service by following PFCU member experience standards all while complying with BSA and Compliance regulations, procedures, branch security, Teller Balancing guidelines and all other PFCU policies and procedures. Ensure cash drawer, checks received, and transfers are in balance on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to handle complex and multiple priorities. Maintain a high level of personal integrity through a friendly and professional demeanor in addition to complying with the Code of Ethics & Conduct. Ensure Net Promoter Score/NPS meets PFCU standards.
- Look for opportunities to build rapport with members. Listen for cues that will connect a promotion or financial solution to an expressed need. Look at the member’s account profile for additional referral opportunities. Encourage members to meet with a Personal Service Advisor and other business partners. Follow up with members as needed,
- Answer phone and email requests from other branches and departments in a timely manner.
- Provide support to other branches (travel) and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure adherence at all times to all PFCU policies and procedures, all required state and federal regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.
To be considered you will need:
- High School graduate or GED equivalency required.
- Minimum: 2 years of Teller Experience
- Math Ability: Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and balance cash with assistance of a calculator.
- Ability to perform accurate cash transactions.
- MS Office applications: Word and Excel- Basic
- Demonstrated ability to improve our members’ financial well-being via timely and relevant referrals.
- Must have strong attention to detail to include solid data entry with limited errors.
- Must possess the ability to remain calm, patient, objective, and professional when presented with difficult situations.
- Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment and communicate decisions to all stakeholders.
- Must have ability to orally communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must have the ability to meet attendance standards and adhere to work schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and coach other employees for optimal performance and member satisfaction.

Schedule: Full time during branch hours of operation: Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Note: (M-F & Saturdays, as needed).
Projected start date of employment is August 26, 2026. Must have ability to travel to Pembroke Pines for 3 days or more for New Hire initial training and some training in our Juno Beach/Palm Beach Gardens location.
