Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across long-distance routes while complying with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules and timely arrivals.
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
- Transport automobiles or other specialty freight with precision and care, maintaining vehicle integrity during transit.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Deliver freight to designated locations, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with all safety standards.
- Maintain logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-CLASS A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification if necessary.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual loading/unloading tasks.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload procedures involving logistics cargo handling.
- Ability to work independently on over-the-road (OTR) routes while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.

Pay: $1,600.00 - $3,000.00 per week
