Crush Bistro is looking for Baristas ($15 + tips)
We are looking for friendly, organized people with great communication skills for barista position.
Duties are to greet guests and take orders, make and serve beverages, accept payments, and keep the espresso machine area clean and organized. Baristas provide exemplary customer service at all times. They will also be expected to prepare and serve food items as needed.
Operations
- Works with other staff to ensure their area is clean and organized at all times. Is constantly pre-bussing, picking up trash from the floor, straightening tables and chairs, etc. as needed. Completes all opening & closing side work
- Is timely in all aspects of service; the greeting, beverage orders, and delivery
- Knows all point-of-sale functions and can navigate quickly and efficiently on-screen
- Accurately executes all sales transactions and consistently utilizes restaurant accounting systems
- Follows all drink recipes accurately and consistently
- Displays mastery of coffee and espresso knowledge and technique
- Ensures all beverages are presented properly before delivering to the guests
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of all menu items
- Assists in the preparation and service of food items
- This may be a full time or part time position.
- Employees may be asked to work, standing and walking, in a fast paced environment.
Other Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English
- Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours
- Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
- Must possess basic and accurate cash handling skills
