Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate school buses along designated routes or on-demand trips.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition, checking brakes, lights, tires, and mechanical systems.
- Load and unload students efficiently while ensuring their safety at all times; assist students with special needs as required.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure passenger safety.
- Maintain accurate records of routes driven, student counts, and any incidents or delays encountered during shifts.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, school staff, parents, and students to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance checks or report mechanical issues to ensure the vehicle remains in excellent working order.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport (e.g., P endorsement for passenger vehicles).
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles such as school buses,
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections issues.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and team members.

Pay: $28.72 - $31.03 per hour
