Entry-Level Parts Puller / General Laborer
$16–$17/hour | 1st Shift: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday | Contract to Hire
About the Role
This entry-level metal fabrication role supports production by removing finished parts from laser-cut metal sheets and metal skeletons. You will sort, count, label, and organize parts according to work orders while keeping materials moving safely through the shop.
You will also grind, deburr, clean, inspect, stage, and package parts for the next production step or shipment. No previous experience is required. This is a first-shift opportunity for someone willing to learn, follow instructions, and work carefully in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Remove finished parts from laser-cut metal sheets and metal skeletons safely and efficiently
· Sort, count, label, and organize parts according to work orders
· Grind, deburr, clean, and prepare parts for the next stage of production
· Inspect parts for quality and report defects or inconsistencies
· Stage completed parts for welding, forming, machining, or shipping
· Move raw materials and finished products using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or overhead cranes, with training provided if applicable
· Assist machine operators, welders, and fabricators with daily production tasks
· Package finished parts for shipment or internal production
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
· Perform other production and general labor duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
· Willingness to learn and follow instructions
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to work the 1st shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday overtime
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
· Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
· Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting
· Ability to work around noise, dust, sparks, and varying temperatures
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
