Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish | ELL (English Language Learner) Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula tailored to diverse student needs, incorporating principles of linguistics and literacy education.
- Design engaging lesson plans that integrate multimedia tools, standardized testing strategies, and instructional best practices aligned with AP style and Chicago Manual of Style standards.
- Facilitate classroom activities that promote active learning, cultural appreciation, and language immersion for students at various proficiency levels.
- Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to support student progress in language acquisition, including special education accommodations when necessary.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized tests, and maintain detailed records of progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research initiatives, and instructional design projects to enhance program quality.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management techniques while fostering a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven classroom experience teaching Spanish as a second language or in higher education settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies for language learners.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools, library services, and research methodologies to enhance instruction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Experience working with students requiring special education services or behavior management support is highly desirable.

Pay: $22,500.00 - $37,000.00 per year
