Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience through attentive service, menu knowledge, and a friendly demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu explanations, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell food and beverage items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for checks.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or complaints with professionalism.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
