Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual (English-Mandarin/Chinese ) Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant will provide support to our legal team by performing various administrative tasks and legal assistance under the supervision of the attorney. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and must be working as a team member.
Duties:
· Answer incoming calls. Greet and direct visitors, maintain office documentation including incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain office calendar
· Track payment and package records for individual matters and clients
· Working with prospective and current clients to collect, analyze, and assemble supporting documents for a variety of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, applications, and petitions
· Prepare documentation for employment, family, and humanitarian based applications and petitions for USCIS, EOIR, or U.S. Consulates
· Review files, consult with attorneys, and prepare status updates for clients
· Research, analyze, and summarize legal sources to assist in case strategy
· Translate as needed
· Maintain confidentiality of all client information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred not required
- must be fluent in verbal and conversational Mandarin / Chinese
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines to work as a team member
- Proficiency in using software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Google Suite)

Pay: From $20.75 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
