Launch into Learning is seeking highly qualified, experienced literacy support specialists to join our growing team! Our specialists work one-on-one with students to build reading proficiency, improve academic performance, and develop lifelong literacy skills for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
We are specifically looking for professionals with advanced training in structured literacy and evidence-based intervention methodologies who are passionate about helping students overcome learning differences and build confidence in their academic abilities.
This is an in-person position working with motivated students in Houston-area private schools.
Required Qualifications
To be considered, you must have:
- Strong knowledge of structured literacy, phonological awareness, decoding, encoding, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and written language intervention
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional, reliable, and student-centered approach
- Experience working with K–12 students in educational or therapeutic settings
- Reliable transportation for travel to student homes and schools throughout the Houston area
- Availability for in-person sessions through June 4, 2027, and ideally into the 2027–2028 academic year
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized one-on-one intervention and academic support for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on student needs and assessment data
- Deliver structured, multi-sensory instruction using evidence-based methodologies
- Monitor student progress
- Communicate professionally with families and Launch into Learning staff regarding student growth and goals
- Support students in developing foundational literacy, written language, and mathematical reasoning skills
Preferred:
- Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) credential or equivalent academic language therapy certification
- Specialized training in dyslexia intervention completed within the last 10 years
- Neuhaus-trained or equivalent structured literacy training
- Experience working with Houston-area private school students
- Background in educational therapy or learning differences
- Long-term availability and commitment to student growth

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
