Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant who will be trained as a receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures in the back and reception tasks in the front.This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a kind and caring environment.
Duties
- Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment for use.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on post-operative care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required by specific procedures.
- Assist at the reception desk answering phone calls, scheduling patients, and checking patients out.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Open Dental software for managing patient records is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques and equipment usage is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.
