Job Summary
Masterminds Academy is seeking a passionate and engaging French Language Teacher to introduce preschool and kindergarten students to the French language through immersive, age-appropriate instruction. This is an exciting opportunity to help build our French language program from the ground up as part of an innovative, student-centered school.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, brings enthusiasm and creativity to the classroom, and believes that language learning should be joyful, interactive, and woven naturally into children's daily experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate French lessons for preschool and kindergarten students.
- Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and participation.
- Use songs, stories, games, movement, and hands-on activities to promote language acquisition.
- Introduce students to French culture through meaningful and engaging classroom experiences.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to integrate the French program into the broader curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Participate in school events, performances, and parent showcases as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching French to preschool and/or elementary-aged children.
- Native or near-native fluency in French.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate instructional practices.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic teaching style.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a growing school community.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and ability to meet all applicable background check and child safety requirements.
