RCFE Administrator — Borealis Care (Northridge, CA)
Compensation: $64,000-70,000/year + 401(k) Type: Full-time Location: Northridge, CA (on-site)
Borealis Care is a small, family-style licensed residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE) in Northridge, CA. We're looking for a certified RCFE Administrator to lead daily operations and be the face of our facility to residents, families, and the community.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations and serve as our licensed Administrator of record with Community Care Licensing (CCLD)
- Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations covering resident care, staffing, documentation, and reporting
- Supervise and schedule caregiving staff, including training and onboarding
- Oversee resident care plans, medication management protocols, and health status monitoring
- Build relationships with senior placement agencies and give facility tours to prospective residents and families
- Serve as the main point of contact for resident families, physicians, and hospice partners
- Manage incident reporting, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance
What You'll Need
- Valid California RCFE Administrator Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- Current Live Scan/criminal background clearance and TB clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- High school diploma required; degree in health care administration, nursing, gerontology, or related field a plus
- Prior supervisory experience in residential care, assisted living, or health care preferred
- Strong communication skills and a genuine, person-centered approach to elder care
