Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Working Construction Foreman to lead and work alongside field crews on roadway, airport, bridge, military, and federal infrastructure projects throughout the United States.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Foreman is expected to actively perform the same physical work as the crew while overseeing daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Lead crews of approximately 3–9 field employees.
Perform hands-on work including:
- Concrete repair
- Crack sealing
- Joint sealing
- Saw cutting
- Jackhammering
Surface preparation and related construction activities
Coordinate daily crew activities, equipment, and materials.
Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety standards.
Train and mentor crew members.
Communicate project progress with Project Managers and Superintendents.
Ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion.
Travel & Schedule
- Approximately 95% nationwide travel.
- Projects may last several weeks or months.
- Typical schedule is 60 hours per week, generally 6 days per week.
- Regular home rotations are not guaranteed.
- Company-paid travel and private hotel accommodations.
Qualifications
- Experience leading crews in heavy civil, roadway, highway, paving, concrete, bridge, or airport construction.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding construction work alongside the crew.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass background screening and motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.
- Ability to obtain access to federal, airport, and military project sites.
- CDL is not required.
Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
