Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning food items.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing used dishware.
- Maintain cleanliness in all food prep areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance at all times.
- Help with catering events or banquet setups by organizing supplies and assisting with food presentation.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by staying organized, proactive, and attentive to detail.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including bussing, basic food prep, or catering experience is advantageous.
- Experience working in kitchens, hotels, or banquet settings helps in understanding fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending comfortably.
