We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Auto Restoration Shop Helper to join our premier classic car restoration team. In this role, you will support technicians in transforming vintage vehicles back to their original glory. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone passionate about classic cars who wants to learn the trade from the ground up. You will handle shop cleanliness, parts organization, vehicle preparation, and basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
- Shop Maintenance: Keep bays, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
- Vehicle Prep: Sand, mask, clean, and prep vehicle surfaces for paint or bodywork.
- Parts Management: Disassemble, label, bag, and inventory classic car parts carefully.
- Technician Support: Fetch tools, hold heavy components, and assist with assembly.
- Detailing: Wash, vacuum, polish, and detail completed vehicles or project cars.
- Errands: Pick up parts, tools, or supplies from local vendors using the shop truck.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous automotive experience or trade school background is a plus, but we will train the right person.
- Skills: Familiarity with basic hand tools and basic mechanical systems.
- Traits: High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a passion for classic cars.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Transmission: Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in an environments with noise, dust, and paint fumes
