Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to lead day-to-day maintenance operations at a multifamily property. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, ensuring the property is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently while delivering excellent service to residents.
The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and takes pride in both technical work and team collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and perform general maintenance and repairs across the property
- Monitor property conditions and proactively identify maintenance needs
- Respond to and follow up on resident maintenance requests with professionalism and care
- Communicate repair updates and documentation to Property Management for records and invoicing
- Complete daily maintenance schedules efficiently and accurately
- Maintain organized, clean, and secure maintenance shops, storage areas, and equipment rooms
- Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies and special projects (additional compensation provided)
- Support property preparedness by identifying potential risks or larger repair needs and escalating appropriately
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 2+ years of multifamily or property maintenance experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Working knowledge of general maintenance, including appliances, carpentry, drywall, gutters, sidewalks, snow/ice removal, and basic pool care (if applicable)
- Basic to intermediate ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members
- Comfortable using mobile devices and basic phone applications for work orders
- Detail-oriented with the ability to log job updates accurately and in real time
Preferred (not required):
- HVAC certification
- CPO certification
- Advanced HVAC troubleshooting experience
