Essential Competencies
-
Wiring and Loop Verification: Experience connecting field devices and terminal blocks while performing loop checks.
-
Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to analyze wiring schematics to accurately trace circuit paths.
-
PLC Integration: Background in wiring sensors and valves to PLCs, with a preference for candidates with automation experience.
Candidate Assessment
-
What is your total experience in low voltage construction and technical roles?
-
Describe a recent termination project, including the specific equipment connected and the tools utilized.
-
What is your history with PLC wiring and what types of components have you integrated?
-
Are you capable of independently interpreting wiring diagrams to trace circuits?
-
Do you possess any background in data center environments?
-
Are you physically prepared for a role requiring 10-hour shifts, ladder climbing, and navigating confined areas?
-
Can you successfully complete a drug screening and background investigation?
Your Daily Routine
Your workday begins on-site at a data center facility. You will spend your shift focused on electrical panels and junction boxes, where you will perform control wiring terminations, connect instrumentation and sensors, and verify that all installations align with technical prints. You will collaborate with commissioning engineers to troubleshoot equipment and validate signal accuracy. This is a physically active role involving significant time on your feet, ladder work, and maneuvering in tight spaces. We offer a consistent daytime schedule from 5am to 3:30pm, which includes a guaranteed 20 hours of overtime weekly. As this is a rapidly expanding account with a robust pipeline of future projects, this position offers excellent potential for long-term stability rather than a temporary assignment.
Required Proficiencies
-
Help ensure system reliability through expert PLC troubleshooting.
-
Execute precise terminations to support overall project connectivity.
