Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ground Guy to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting tree care and maintenance projects by assisting with equipment operation, rigging, and site preparation. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth project execution while contributing to the beautification and health of outdoor environments. Duties
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and general tree care activities using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support the operation of bucket trucks and bucket lifts for elevated work tasks safely and efficiently
- Help with rigging tasks by preparing and securing equipment or materials for lifting or movement
- Conduct basic landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, mulching, and landscape upkeep
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and site planning support when needed
- Maintain safety standards during all operations by following protocols and wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Support crew members with equipment setup, cleanup, and logistical coordination on job sites
Requirements
- Prior experience or growing knowledge in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and confidently; certification is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with rigging procedures and equipment handling is advantageous
- Basic understanding of GIS applications or willingness to learn GIS mapping tools
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects as needed
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred
