Responsibilities: - Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a hospital setting - Perform basic medical procedures and administer treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse - Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures - Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing - Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers - Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care - Perform medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records Skills: - Proficient in medical terminology and documentation - Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) procedures - Understanding of human anatomy and physiology - Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care - Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks, including insurance verification and billing - Competency in performing and interpreting vital signs accurately - Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
