The Town of Sunnyvale is seeking an experienced Senior Planner or Planning Manager to join our growing Planning & Development Services team.
The Senior Planner/Planning Manager performs advanced professional planning work by providing analytical, technical, and administrative leadership for land use and development activities, including site planning, zoning, subdivision and development review, and research that supports long-range planning initiatives and policy development for the Town of Sunnyvale. This position may be filled as either a Senior Planner or Planning Manager, depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
Hiring Range:
Senior Planner Hiring Pay Rate: $82,787.66 - $97,397.25 annually
Planning Manager Hiring Pay Rate: $95,837.07 - $112,000 annually

Minimum Qualifications (Senior Planner):

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field

Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in planning or land development in a municipal setting

Valid Texas Driver’s License

American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification preferred
Minimum Qualifications (Planning Manager):

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field

Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in planning or land development in a municipal setting
