The Back of House Crew Member plays a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by preparing food, maintaining cleanliness and supporting the overall quality and speed of service. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to company recipes, standards, and portion guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively (grill, fryers, etc)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, including food prep areas, storage, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries while ensuring proper rotation. (FIFO)
- Communicate with front-of-house team members to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Support inventory management by minimizing waste and reporting shortages of discrepancies.
- Comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local health codes.
- Work as part of a team to meet service goals during peak and off-peak hours.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous kitchen or food preparation preferred but not required (training provided.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40lbs.
