Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes, menu plans, and dietary requirements
- Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing, and nutritious options for all dietary needs
- Handle food safely by adhering to strict food handling and safety standards in production and service areas
- Support food preparation activities including slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and excellent food service experiences
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and safety compliance to support food safety management protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Proven background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering service, with hands-on kitchen experience
- Strong culinary skills including meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling expertise
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production environments and familiarity with food safety management practices
- Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and serving in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated knife skills and slicing techniques essential for efficient food prep
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
