Job Overview
St. Joe Vision is a growing private optometry practice seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our awesome team. We strive to recruit individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated, reliable and team player. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with new people everyday and providing high quality patient care. Previous experience is great, but not not required. We have on the job training, so with an energetic personality and willingness to learn, we can teach the necessary skills to be a successful technician.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Prepare patients for the doctor's examination by obtaining medical and vision history.
- Perform patient workups, including appropriate preliminary testing and measurements.
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for patient care.
- Assist with patient flow to help maintain an efficient schedule.
- Educate patients on testing and procedures as directed.
- Communicate effectively with doctors and fellow team members regarding patient needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor and restock clinical supplies as needed.
- Assist with ordering and managing contact lens inventory.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinical area.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned to support the needs of the practice.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
