Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Full Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, infection control, and patient care. Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
- Take digital x-rays.
- Manage patient records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with dental reception staff.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Uphold strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively within a four-handed dentistry setup to optimize workflow efficiency and patient care quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems with Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
- Experience with dental X-ray procedures, including digital radiography.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic medical imaging techniques confidently.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical operations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members.
