Full Time Local Position, NO PER DIEM
Job Description
- Maintain, assemble, fabricate, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems.
- Cut/prep, weld, bend, thread, and fabricate piping
- Fabricate and install pipe hangers
- Knowledge of piping system components including materials fittings, gasket, flanges, and valves
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and other related equipment by welding (TIB and stick), brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
- Prepare connections and install piping, mechanical fittings, supports, hangers, anchor bolts, couplings, valves, pumps, and other associated equipment
- Measure for piping and create isometric drawings and layouts
- Read and understand drawings, design specifications, procedures, and codes
- Keeping work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition
- Performing duties and operating equipment in a safe manner
- Will compile information and generate reports, forms, and documents as required
- Respond to after hours call ins as needed
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- 4 years of progressive pipefitting and/or pipe welding experience
- Experience in fabrication, layout, and welding trades
- NCCER pipefitting qualification preferred
- Must be able to pass weld test (6g TIG and stick)
- Must be willing to work inside and outside under varying weather conditions
- High School diploma or GED
- Must provide personal small hand tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
