Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery and equipment within a manufacturing facility. Your expertise in welding, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance will ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Install, align, and assemble machinery using schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints with precision.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct welding operations using various techniques such as <LOCATION> welding to repair or fabricate metal components.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits utilizing multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and resolve automation issues within the manufacturing process.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Operate field service equipment like scissor lifts and other industrial tools safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams when necessary to support customer service initiatives or technical support requests.
- Follow safety standards related to HVAC/R systems, industrial electrician practices, and high-voltage environments.
- Analyze mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments to ensure proper alignment and functioning of machinery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic within a manufacturing facility or similar industrial environment.
- Strong welding skills with expertise in <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), and schematics interpretation.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting automation systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to operate industrial tools such as scissor lifts safely and efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with industrial electrician experience is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Previous military experience or background in industrial maintenance is considered an asset.
