Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Infant Room to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and tailored to infants’ developmental stages.
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregiver staff to maintain high-quality care and classroom management.
- Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication about their child's progress, milestones, and needs.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans for infants with special needs or disabilities, collaborating with specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of developmental progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with licensing standards.
- Promote a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, socialization, and emotional security for infants.
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in a daycare center or preschool setting is essential.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with young children, including behavior management techniques suitable for infants.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and knowledge of mandated reporting laws are required or must be obtained prior to employment.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Previous leadership experience as a lead teacher or supervisor in early childhood education settings is preferred.
