Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled SD-WAN Engineer to join our innovative network engineering team. Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy SD-WAN solutions utilizing industry-leading platforms and protocols to ensure seamless connectivity across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SD-WAN with existing IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Monitor network performance using advanced tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; proactively troubleshoot issues related to equipment troubleshooting, load balancing, and network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPsec, and MPLS.
- Implement security measures including Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), and network security best practices to safeguard data and ensure compliance.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform system administration tasks on various operating systems including Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), Windows, BSD variants, and UNIX systems to support high availability environments.
- Develop automation scripts using scripting languages like Python or Bash for network management tasks; utilize Ansible for configuration management in DevOps workflows.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex network issues involving firewalls such as Cisco ASA or Meraki devices; troubleshoot VPN configurations including IPsec and SSL; manage remote access software for secure connectivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of WAN technologies and protocols including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and Ethernet.
- Hands-on expertise with SD-WAN platforms from leading vendors; familiarity with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solutions is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of network security concepts such as VPN management (VPN configuration), encryption standards (SSL/TLS), firewall management (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, and cloud security practices.
- Strong background in system design and engineering troubleshooting within data center environments; experience with virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere or Citrix is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting; experience with automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell to streamline operations.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server environments, Solaris or BSD variants; knowledge of high availability configurations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills combined with an ability to work within an Agile environment; experience supporting network architecture projects from inception through SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
