Duties
- Safely operate a cargo van or box truck on assigned rout , adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
- Deliver packages accurately to drop off locations, providing exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records throughout each shift.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and managers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with driving box trucks or cargo vans; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes or equipment safely.
