Duties
- Greet clients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere for pet owners and visitors
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar with precision and efficiency
- Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper billing and payment processing
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and client communications using veterinary terminology
- Assist with animal handling tasks such as dog handling, animal restraint, and basic pet care instructions when needed
- Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding critical care procedures like animal catheterization or laboratory testing
- Manage phone inquiries, providing information about services, appointments, or pet health questions confidently
- Ensure compliance with animal anatomy knowledge during client education or when assisting veterinary staff with restraint or treatment procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting or animal care environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques
- Experience with pet grooming, dog training, or kennel management is a plus
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and medical collections enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs and equines are desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- A passion for animals combined with a proactive attitude to support veterinary operations effectively
