American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a GA or Compact RN license.

Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
-
Active RN license (GA state or Compact) required at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
-
Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, TNCC
-
Experience with respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
-
Experience with medication administration including continuous IV sedation (preferred)
-
Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring (preferred)
-
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Triage skills required
-
Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critical patients

Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)

If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday time off may be requested
-
If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday time off request may be considered
-
Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration

No schedule or shift change requests permitted once assignment begins

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
