We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Principal/Director who demonstrates strong leadership, organizational excellence, and a genuine love for children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding both staff and families in a collaborative, faith-based setting.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide effective leadership and management for the center’s daily operations.
- Oversee and train staff to ensure efficient time management and high performance.
- Maintain compliance with all state and local childcare regulations.
- Set, communicate, and achieve short- and long-term goals for staff and program growth.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified team members.
- Manage employee schedules and classroom coverage.
- Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Partner with teachers and families to address behavioral and developmental needs.
- Foster positive relationships with licensing representatives and community partners.
- Perform additional administrative or leadership duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must meet Texas Child Care Minimum Standards §746.1015 requirements for a Director’s License.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credit hours in child development and 6 in management, plus 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with at least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- 9 credit hours in child development and 9 credit hours in management, plus 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,500.00 - $40,000.00 per year
