About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Technician to maintain and repair a variety of construction equipment. In this role, you will diagnose mechanical issues, perform necessary repairs, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Your expertise in hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems will be essential to keeping our projects running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Certification in heavy equipment repair.
- Experience with diagnostic software and tools.
