EXCELLENT PAY STRUCTURE: This is a W2 Position! Starting at 52% compensation of all services AND increasing by 2% yearly until you reach 60% commission PLUS 100% of tips or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate if commission falls below the minimum wage for hours worked.

In this role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help build trusting relationships with pet owners and contribute to our reputation for exceptional animal care.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of dogs according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Handle animals with care, ensuring proper restraint and safety during grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s health condition, noting any skin issues or abnormalities, and communicate findings to pet owners or veterinary staff when necessary
- Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming environment by disinfecting tools, tubs, and work areas regularly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining grooming options, and scheduling appointments efficiently
- Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners
- Support additional animal care duties such as basic training, pet sitting, or kennel duties as needed
- Develop long term relationship with furry patrons and their parents.
- Other store duties as assigned
Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Proven excellent experience in pet grooming
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to work confidently with animals of various temperaments and sizes
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or veterinary experience is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger animals or equipment safely of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Prior experience with grooming cats and is a plus!
- Must be detail-oriented with a passion for animal welfare and hygiene standards
- Be flexible working evening, weekends, holiday and pass a drug test and background check
