Job Summary
Responsible for accurately processing customer transactions and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate a cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
- Scan and bag merchandise efficiently.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions and assisting with product location.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Stock shelves and coolers as needed.
- Process fuel transactions and provide information on fuel types and prices.
- Assist with lottery ticket sales and payout procedures.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and age-restricted sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus.
- Ability to accurately handle cash and perform basic math calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
