Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Prep and Line Cooks to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all food is prepared efficiently and safely while maintaining exceptional food quality. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and client standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality food presentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools, particularly knives.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning is highly desirable.
