Commercial property owner seeks a reliable remote assistant for project-based work involving online business research, lead identification, and thoughtful outreach related to retail leasing and small business operations.
This is NOT primarily a graphic design, branding or social media content role. The main work is research, outreach, tracking, and follow-up.
WORK INCLUDES:
- Researching local businesses and operators using Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, local directories, and other online sources.
- Identifying prospects for retail, wellness, beauty, food, and professional-office spaces.
- Sending thoughtful outreach messages (not spam blasting)
- Tracking leads, contacts, responses, and next steps.
- Preliminary screening of responses/inquiries
- Reporting weekly on leads contacted, responses received, and next steps.
- Occasional preparation of simple flyers, social posts, and photo-based materials.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable with online research, lead tracking, and thoughtful outreach to local businesses
- Professional written communication
- Able to follow guidelines and exercise good judgment
- Interest in small business, retail, or commercial real estate a plus
- Comfortable using basic tools for simple flyers/posts/photos
TIME & COMPENSATION
- Pay is $30/hour.
- Initial workload is expected to be approximately 3–5 flexible hours per week. This is a project-based independent contractor role with no guarantee of ongoing hours.
- You must have your own laptop/desktop, smartphone, internet, and phone service.
